Their story Adam and Verima’s traditional wedding is perfect in so many ways, from the stunning venue to the bits and pieces ensemble of traditionalism to beautiful photos of it all. The bride is off Indonesian’s ancestry and the wedding ceremony is anything but captivating.
The theme “The theme was blue and silver, the couple’s favourite and also chosen to suit the traditional Minangkabau culture, infused into the theme, decorations and costumes. We loved the pelamin décor because of its vibrant colours, specially done by a family friend of Minangkabau heritage.”
The attire “For the traditional ceremonies, we wore traditional Minahasa (Manado) in white & silver hues. Verima’s gown was specially designed to look like a mermaid in which symbolizes the people of Manado which are mostly living near the sea.”
The budget “We often flew to Indonesia to get all the materials for the weddings, including the costumes, hence, we went overboard with the budget.”
The guests “For the solemnization ceremony, we invited close to 400 people. They were so excited to see the pelamin as it differed from a traditional Malay wedding. In addition, the reception was attended by 480 people. We made the invitation a scroll in a in a bamboo shute, custom made in Jakarta. Everyone had a lot of fun and thought the wedding was rather lovely.” Dream team Wedding planner – Bride & groom Photographer – Darren Jee Photography & Mccain Photography Florist – Yours Truly Floral & Gifts Attire – Toko Panggilan Niaga, Ferry Daud, Ferry Boutique & Joan I.O Henuhili Videographer – Ivory Romance Hair & Make-up – Ivory Romance Stationer – N&C Cards & Domino Baker / Caterer – Shireen Bakes & My Sugar Creations
